In 2022 the TextielLab is launching this initiative as a pilot. We are offering a 10-week hybrid program in which you will be connected to the experts in our lab and museum and several outstanding professionals from our network, such as artist Otobong Nkanga. Together you will dive into the possibilities of textile fabrication, focusing especially on the challenge of sustainability. The program will take place both online and offline, including a two-week period in Tilburg in which you get the chance to collaboratively experiment in our lab on both an artistic and technical level, use our extensive textile collection and library, yarn supply, visit textile companies and encounter a varied group of textile professionals. This year we will select 6 applicants to be the first to take part in this new program which will run from mid-September to late November 2022.
