<html><body>Marlou Breuls created The Rooom Divider with three O's, a name that at first glance seems like a typo, but is absolutely not. She wanted to give the piece a name that simply made sense and did not refer to countless other meanings. While Breuls was at work, she decided to add a kinetic element, causing the knitting material to expand and contract from about one metre to five metres.
The design shows the outlines of two women and the whole thing is built in an S-shape. When moved slowly through the engines, the women appear to be dancing. The women are depicted very abstractly; although Breuls would have liked them to be more present, it was technically impossible to achieve this.</body></html>

Ze wilde het stuk een naam geven die simpelweg logisch was en niet verwijst naar talloze andere betekenissen. Terwijl Breuls aan het werk was, besloot ze een kinetisch element toe te voegen, waardoor het breimateriaal uitzet en samentrekt van ongeveer &eacute;&eacute;n meter naar vijf meter. In het ontwerp zijn de contouren van twee vrouwen zichtbaar en het geheel is opgebouwd in een S-vorm. Wanneer het langzaam door de motoren wordt bewogen, lijkt het alsof de vrouwen dansen. De vrouwen zijn zeer abstract afgebeeld; hoewel Breuls het graag had gewild dat ze meer aanwezig waren, was het technisch onmogelijk om dit te realiseren.</body></html>
