These artworks draw inspiration from the dynamic world of Mexican wrestling masks, where colour and texture merge into an explosive visual experience. For the Pop Up exhibition curated by trend visionary Lidewij Edelkoort at the Graphic Design Museum in Breda, Hayon created two monumental masked faces of about 50 centimetres, looking intrusively at each other.

The textiles for this extraordinary installation were developed with precision and passion in a unique collaboration between Hayon and the Textielmuseum - an encounter where craft and innovation meet in the high-tech TextielLab. Here, traditional forms and cultural references transformed into a contemporary design statement that blurs boundaries between art, fashion and industrial innovation.

Each fibre thread tells a story of cultural cross-fertilisation and technological wonder.
