Background

Preserving knowledge about our old machines is high on our agenda. That’s why we are currently documenting how these machines work – information that is still alive and well in the minds and hands of our experts. These machines not only shape our past but also the future of the TextielMuseum/TextielLab.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for artists, designers or students who enjoy working with old weaving and knitting machines or old damask looms. We would also like to hear from communities that are involved in repairing and using these machines.
